No more Wolfmother in our video games

To the well-meaning lads of Wolfmother,

We can appreciate that you’re a hard working band. But where we once marveled at the novelty of your sound, conjuring fond images of the heyday of Black Sabbath, we now have to politely ask that you take a step back from licensing your music to video games.

Within the past few months youre songs have appeared in Tony Hawk, Madden 07, Rugby 06, MLB: The Show, MLB2K7 (conflict?), Need For Speed: Carbon, Flatout 2, Full Auto 2: Battlelines, and Guitar Hero 2. An impressive feat sure, especially since you appear to have only one album, but you’ve reached the point of over saturation in our eyes. So Wolfmother, we’d like to call for a moratorium on your music within our beloved video games. It occurs to us that you’re music may be better suited for iPods, VH1, or Mountain Dew commercials, rather than looping underneath a hobby enjoyed by millions. As for habitual offender “Woman”, we don’t think we’re out of line in asking for its complete banishment, since it already plays verbatim in our nightmares. Through games alone shouldn't you have enough money?
