End Major League Baseball's Exclusivity Deal

Year after year after year, the MLB 2k series from 2k Games gets worse and worse, not just aesthetically, but the lack of fluidity from defensive players and the many on the field errors, to the recent removal of the ability to edit players, it is clear that the recent drop off of quality is due to the lack of competition.

The company's own forums are currently overrun with complaints, and they are moving at a snail's pace to fix a litany of problems many people are having with this game series, and the company itself.

The reason this series get worse and worse every year is the exclusivity deal signed with the MLB. This means that there is no competition and ruining the quality of the product. This mainly effects XBOX 360 users, due to Sony's MLB the Show video game, exclusive to Sony's PlayStation consoles, which currently dominates sales for the Sony platforms.

Major League Baseball 2k9 is the last straw, we the undersigned ask you to please sign this petition complementing any letters sent to the MLB regarding this flawed game, and also pressure 2k Games to finally put out a product worthy of the steep price.

Obviously 2k Games doesn't care about the consumer, the MLB does, and we believe that with enough support, the MLB will take action and not renew, or better yet, rescind their exclusivity deal. The door can then open for competition, this is the only Major League Baseball game for the XBOX 360, and it is an atrocity to spend 60 dollars on a game that every year seems to get worse and worse.

We the consumers deserve better than this, let's strike this monopoly down and force a better game out of the Major League Baseball 2k series, and possibly allow a superior game to sprout from other publishers.
