ABA BMX |
To: Town of Killingly
I Donald Dauphinais owner of Danielson Adventure Sports represent BMX racers not only from the surounding towns of Killingly but Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and beyond. The purpose of this petition is to submit the importance and benefits of building a ABA (American Bicyle Association) sanctioned BMX race track in the town of Killingly.
The facts are this. ABA sanctioned tracks add appeal to the community, increase tourism and increase revenue for the town. BMX tracks give the kids and adults in the community an additional outlet for outdoor activity. A track gives families another option to spend time together. Families will travel over 100 miles to bring junior to a race. Major races bring up to six hundred thousand dollars to the community.
I also want to express the importance of building an official sanctioned track. The tracks reputation is influenced greatly by the quality of the track itself. The ABA will send an experienced track builder to you and build the track at no charge. They will also fly 2 representatives from your track to Pheonix, Arizona and train them on track operations. This also at no expense to the town. The old saying goes, "build it and they will come". Never before could this be so true.
