Hello Adidas,

I am creating this petition because I am concerned about the future of my beloved sport of footbag. In the sport of footbag, equipment selection is very important to the development of a player’s skill. One of the most important factors in skill development is the choice of footwear. One of the most popular choices for footwear is the Adidas Rod Laver tennis shoe (the vast majority of footbag players use this shoe model), both the mesh AND leather version of the shoe.

The reason why this tennis shoe of yours is so popular with footbag players is because of characteristics like flat insides, big and flat toe area, lightweight, etc. The Rod Laver shoe is the ideal footbag shoe in the world today. Many of your sales of the Rod Laver shoe line are because of us footbag players. I am worried that sometime in the future we will not be able to purchase that particular shoe anymore. When/if that happens, it would be a great loss to the sport since many people consider that particular shoe the unofficial footbag shoe.

Many footbag players worldwide only dream of an athletics company to create a shoe specific to the sport of footbag, but we realize that this may not be a reality for some time. Right now I'm focused on ensuring the continuation of Rod Laver shoe production so our sport will not only stay alive and well, but also offer great equipment for new people to the sport.

Please keep the Adidas Rod Laver (mesh and leather versions) shoes in production, and help the development and continuation of this great sport that promotes discipline, a healthy and active lifestyle, good self esteem and personal accomplishments, and many other qualities that makes this sport not only fun, but very helpful to today's society.
