This petition supports the retention of the Auckland Suffrage Memorial in perpetuity where it was built in Lower Khartoum Place, Auckland in 1993.
For the preservation of a nationally-important, historical community asset, and to protect against potential damage to the memorial through any proposed relocation, we the undersigned respectfully request that the Arts, Culture & Recreation Committee of Auckland City Council take this petition into consideration, revoke its decision of 20 April 2010 and re-commit to the retention of the Women's Suffrage Memorial in its present location in Lower Khartoum Place.
