We, the undersigned concerned community members, urge your approval of the pre-trial release of our community leader, Mr. Abdurahman Alamoudi. The Chief District Court Judge for the Eastern District of Virginia has made a determination that Mr. Alamoudi is not a danger to the community or a threat to national security. As you know, it has been more than three months since his detention on non-violent charges, where his ability to meet his family and interact with his legal team is unfairly affected. In addition, we submit that Mr. Alamoudi is not a flight risk, and request that he be released to defend himself in an atmosphere of fairness.
