AlienNine was a popular anime when the Japanese version was first released in 2001. The English version was then released in 2003, and since then, it has captured the attention of several anime fans from all over the world, as such myself. The works of the Japanese director, Taki Maro, and the J.C. Staff are greatly recognised and appreciated by all AlienNine fans.

However, the anime was abruptly ended at the fourth episode, in which the ending was as quoted by Taro Maki as 'ambiguous', and others state as 'extremely agonising'. The episode ended at the scene where one of the characters was found dead, and whether she committed suicide or was killed, it is not said. It is not known whether the ending was meant to be a teaser, inviting the audiences to continue the story by purchasing the mangas, or it was due to some problems that the anime was halted and not continued. The question whether the AlienNine anime will be continued has always been a hot topic among several AlienNine fans. Either way, it has already been 4 years since the first AlienNine anime was first released, and considering the time lapse, it has been dearly hoped that the AlienNine project would be taken up again. For more details, please visit the unofficial AlienNine website, www.crossrealms.net/alien9.

I sincerely hope that, by creating this petition, AlienNine fans from all over the world would join in by signing the petition, to show our eagerness for the continuation of the AlienNine anime. The support of other anime fans are also greatly appreciated, as anyone would know how agonising it would be when an anime ends abruptly and it is not known what happens after that. If we could be promised that the anime will be continued, then the support and efforts of everyone who had signed this petition would not futile.
