The Alive Petition

To:  CTV and Sony-BMG Canada

We, the undersigned, would like to request the release of Canadian Idol 2005 runner-up Rex Goudie’s version of the single “Alive”. Although we know this honor is reserved for the winner of the competition, we believe the strength of his performance of the song during the episode aired on Tuesday, September 13 merits this request. His delivery of the song was powerful, expressive and energetic, which in time could eventually become a multi-platinum seller as well as a rock anthem for years to come.

We hope that you will take the time to read this request and fulfill it not only for Rex’s fans, but for those across the country who feel the way that we do – that based on the strength of his performance and the closeness of the final vote, it merits the runner-up the privilege of releasing his version of the single to the general public.
