The purpose of this petition is to passionately yet respectfully let Mr. Joe Quesada, Editor in Chief of Marvel Comics, that we, the undersigned, believe that Mr. Stan Lee and Mr. John Romita Sr. should be the creative team behind the proposed "Spider-Man: The End" project.

It would be a waste of time to attempt to explain Mr. Lee and Mr. Romita's respective influence on the character of Spider-Man. Mr. Lee gave him life, along with the extraordinary Mr. Steve Ditko, and Mr. Romita provided a style and power in his art that continues to inspire Marvel's artists today.

The Undersigned strongly believe that Mr. Lee and Mr. Romita should be allowed to give comicdom their take on Spider-Man's final days. While other creators at Marvel could do a fantastic job, we believe that Mr. Lee and Mr. Romita would provide not only a fantastic story, but a beautiful, timeless, and epic possible finale to Peter Parker's saga as the amazing Spider-Man. Indeed, these gentlemen would provide fandom with a bona fide classic, a story that would reap untold benefits for Marvel and take its place in the pantheon of the greatest comic stories of all time.

Mr. Quesada, we The Undersigned greatly appreciate giving this petition your time and consideration. It is our hope that Mr. Lee and Mr. Romita will find in this petition our immense gratitude and appreciation for their strength of character and remarkable talent, qualities ever present in their work on Spider-Man and the other greats of the Marvel Universe to which they contributed.
