'Podcast' is NOT Apple's Trademark

To:  Apple Computer, Inc.

We, creators of audio and video content and listeners/viewers of this content, believe that Apple cannot claim that their trademark 'Pod' is part of the word 'Podcast' and therefore send cease & desist letters to names containing 'podcast'. A podcast does not necessarily involve the use of Apple’s products, such as iTunes software and the iPod hardware. A podcast is an audio file distributed using the enclosure tag of an RSS feed, not related in anyway to iTunes and not requiring iPod hardware to be played. We want Apple to drop any cease & desist letters, or other legal action they are pursuing against those they claim use the word ‘pod’.
