Dear Mr. Selig,
On February 9, 2009, Alex Rodriguez, admitted in an interview with Peter Gammons of ESPN, that he used banned substances during the 2001-2003 seasons. In 2003, Mr. Rodriguez was voted the Most Valuable Player of the American League, while playing for the Texas Rangers. Based on this revelation of the use of banned substances in 2003, it is clear that Mr. Rodriguez is not entitled to this prestigious award.
We are asking that effective immediately, the 2003 Most Valuable Player Award be taken away from Alex Rodriguez, and that all of his statistical records for the 2001, 2002, and 2003 seasons be stricken from the Major League Baseball record books.
