Not only is animal testing outdated, but it's also inaccurate. Animals reactions to certain chemicals are very different reactions than humans, due to their different body structures. Unilever claims not to test any materials on animals in the future. "The vast majority of Unilever products have in the past reached, and will in the future reach, our consumers without any testing of any material on animals." It's great that certain products haven't been tested on animals, but it's not enough, however. Animal testing is very outdated and is being quickly replaced with new technology that is more accurate and inexpensive, so it's Unilever's chance to prove their supposed care for animals by putting a complete end to animal testing.
