We, the members of fanfiction.net, would like to petition against the rule that forbids us to have musical lyrics I our writing. This rule seems unfair to us. You say 'if you didn't write it, do not post it', and if you say that you might as well get rid of fanfiction.net all together because when we write fanfiction were writing about someone elses characters, not our own. Therefore the fanfic is not original.

The reason people make disclaimers is to give credit to whoever wrote the song, so why do you have a problem with sings in our fanfics? Besides, over half of the total fanfics have songs in them, and therere all going to be taken down. Some people will probably leave because of this. Please, for your sake and ours, abandon this unnecessary rule.
