Set aside the Ruling of the U.S. 9th Circuit Court declaring the Pledge of Allegiance Unconstitutional |
To: The Surpeme Court of the United StatesAs citizens of these United States of America, we petition The Supreme Court of the United States (in whose hands the decision will soon reside), as follows:
SET ASIDE THE RULING OF THE U.S. 9TH CIRCUIT COURT IN SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA THAT ON JUNE 26, 2002 DECLARED THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE UNCONSTITUTIONAL.
We urge the President of the United States, his cabinet, the House and Senate of the United States, the Governors of the several States, the State Legislators of the several States, the School Districts all across the nation, every shcool teacher in this land and every student attending any public school in this nation to:
1. SAY THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE AS CURRENTLY CONSTITUTED EACH DAY VOCALLY, IN PUBLIC AND WITH PRIDE!
2. PERSONALLY, AND WITHIN YOUR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY, IGNORE THE RULING OF THE U.S. 9TH CIRCUIT COURT IN SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA THAT ON JUNE 26, 2002 DECLARED THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE UNCONSTITUTIONAL.
The Constitution itself proclaims that we have a right to the exercise of religion and to free speech. The Pledge of Allegiance is an expression of those rights and is itself not a religion.
Sincerely,
