Alien vs. Predator 3 - David Twohy for director petition

The Alien and Predator film series are landmark franchises in the science fiction genre and the films within these two franchises are excellent in quality boasting immense merit. The films and the iconic characters are beloved to many fans of all ages around the world. The crossover versus films 'Alien vs. Predator' and 'Aliens vs. Predator - Requiem' were successful at the box office and were enjoyable films to an extent but both films did not meet the expectations of many fans and the films did not feature the proper setting namely the futuristic space setting. Given that 'Aliens vs. Predator - Requiem' was fortunately commercially successful we, the Undersigned, feel that 20th Century Fox should greenlight another AvP film in the near future and should pursue writer/director David Twohy to helm the feature. Many of us are aware of the fact that David Twohy, the director of visually compelling films such as the cult hit 'Pitch Black' and the sci-fi epic 'The Chronicles of Riddick' and the writer of excellent, intriguing films such as 'The Fugitive' and 'Waterworld', was inquired for his availability to write/direct AvP but David Twohy could not take the project due to scheduling conflicts. Therefore, we believe that 20th Century Fox should again aquire David Twohy to direct an AvP film.

Many Alien and Predator fans would prefer to have AvP 3 feature the futuristic space setting and David Twohy is the perfect candidate to direct an AvP film set in the future. Twohy is very talented in terms of both writing and direction as we have all seen and he can make an excellent AvP film set in the future. The worlds created and the atmosphere established by David Twohy for the Riddick films are excellent and even unmatched by most recent films as crafting and translating believable, awe-inspiring and visually complex worlds onto film, much like Ridley Scott, is David Twohy's specialty. David Twohy's films have the right ingredient for an AvP film set in the future and David Twohy's direction, style and creative visual eye is perfectly suited for an AvP film.

We would greatly appreciate it if 20th Century Fox made another Alien vs. Predator film and pursued David Twohy to direct it while David Twohy himself considered to helm the feature. In order to show our support as well as proof of the global demand for at least another film in the series along with our desire for David Twohy to consider directing, we have voiced our opinion in this petition.
