No To Batteries Plus

We OPPOSE Batteries Plus at Oak / Divisadero. October 10, 2007
Case No: 2007.0838C; 1100 Oak (aka 401 Divisadero)
Hearing: November 1, 2007; City Hall, Room 400

We disapprove of the project, because:
• This proposed store, selling batteries is not necessary, desirable or compatible with the Divisadero Corridor neighborhood, composed of small locally-owned businesses.
• Small independently owned businesses recirculate 60% of revenues into the neighborhoods hey reside in. Chains recirculate only 20%.
• The Divisadero Corridor neighborhood has consistently rejected chains:
Blockbuster, Burger King and Dominos.
