We the undersigned are in agreement on the following points:

1) Big Brother, a production of CBS, is a reality show that has a strong Internet component as an integral part of the show As such, the Internet audience has the opportunity to purchase live feeds of Big Brother from Real Networks, which distributes the feeds in conjunction with CBS.

2) The live feeds are sold to the Internet audience as “Live 24/7! Everything You Can’t See on TV!” Since the core premise of Big Brother requires that the web-based audience be both observer and participant (the Internet audience supports the show by hosting chats, voting and offering free publicity to the Big Brother show and houseguests), purchasing of the live feeds is encouraged by the networks in a way that is not offered by ANY other reality show.

3) All too frequently the broadcast of the live feeds is blocked, thus limiting the audience experience with Big Brother. However while the broadcast of the feeds are blocked, “Showtime: Big Brother After Dark” often shows the live feeds without being similarly blocked. Thus there is no discernable reason for the live feeds to be blocked, other than a contrived effort by the network to encourage purchase of BOTH the live feeds and “Showtime: Big Brother After Dark”.

4) Blocking the live feeds while advertising these feeds as “LIVE 24/7” is a misrepresentation of the live feeds as a product and of the audience participation aspect of the Big Brother production. As such CBS and Real Networks are guilty of falsely advertising their product.


5) We therefore ask that CBS and Real Networks consider the following options:
• Broadcast the live feeds as advertised with NO interruptions except for obvious legal considerations, and Competitions that are integral to the outcome of the game (i.e. Veto/HOH Competitions and Ceremonies).
• Replace or reprimand Alison Grodner as Executive Producer of Big Brother, as she is the executive responsible for ultimately making the decisions to block the feeds or not. As producer then, Ms. Grodner is directly responsible for the false advertising of the feeds as a 24/7 experience.
• Should it become essential for the feeds to be blocked for unforeseen circumstances, the consumers should be fairly compensated.

We the undersigned agree on all points stated, and will be considering NOT purchasing the 24/7 Live Feeds for Big Brother 11 should no action be taken at all.
We feel we are not getting what is advertised, and it becomes increasingly worse each season.
