I think it is a shame that Wal-Mart, Inc. would go after Debbie Shank. She was hit by a semi truck in 2000 and now has to live in a nursing home; she is now brain damaged and has no short term memory and requires 24 hour care. Her husband, Jim Shank, now has to work two jobs just to cover the cost. To go after the Shank family to recover money because of a clause in their workers benefits contract is absurd that gives other companies the green light to sue us all. Wal-Mart, Inc. took in $90 BILLION in the third quarter last year but still they want to take back the $470,000 it paid Debbie Shank after she was in an accident for which she only received $417,000.This after her son gave his life for this country.Wal-Mart is not store I would want to shop in after this.
