Blizzard: Private WoW Server

Please release a single player or a small, private server variant of World of Warcraft. Many people would be willing to purchase a game like this but are absolutely unwilling to pay a monthly subscription. Likewise, some people do not want to play online (due to security concerns or due to the "antisocial" behavior that some players exhibit) but they are more than willing to play a LAN game (where they know the people they are paying with). Also, there are business facilities that have a room dedicated for LAN games for their employees to play while on break, but do not allow internet access for security reasons. Likewise, there are those in the military that play LAN games to pass the time, but for obvious reasons, their internet access is restricted.

I think that all of these potential markets would justify the software effort required to modify the existing product.

The Proposal: A Small Private World of Warcraft Server

Target Audience:
1) Those that do not enjoy the "MMO" aspect of the game.
2) Those that do not want to pay a "monthly" access fee to play a game that they purchased for $40.
3) Those with Limited or Restricted Internet access.
4) Former subscribers that have canceled their membership for any number of reasons.

A quick Google search will reveal that there is an obvious market this. You can easily find a list of the "Top 100" Private WoW servers. There is obviously a demand that these "servers" are fulfilling.
