Guinness Book of Records - Most Bicycles Stolen |
To: Guinness Book of World RecordsIgor Kenk, owner of The Bike Clinic in Toronto, Ontario, Canada was arrested on July 16th, 2008 after being witnessed by two police officers, directing an assistant to steal a bicycle. In the aftermath of his arrest, The Toronto police have managed to retrieve a staggering number of bicycles which were found in Kenk's possession, 2865 bicycles in total.
As the story now begins to reach the international press with articles on the BBC, The Guardian, and New York Times, and the story reaching an international audience. We feel Kenk should be recognized for his efforts, and be added to the Guinness Book of World Records for Most Bicycles Stolen.
Currently, The Guinness Book of World Records does not have a category for Most Bicycles Stolen. This petition here by requests, that:
1) Guinness World Records add such a category
2) Recognize Igor Kenk as holding that title, if convicted
Igor Kenk currently awaits trial in Toronto.
Sincerely,
