939 dual sataII BIOS |
To: AsrockDear ASRock Bios Team,
we write this letter to share with you some of our concerns as overclockers.
We bought this wonderful and useful mainboard, but we hope that you will implement some new features in a future bios release:
A hard overclock mode, with new settings for core voltage and dimm voltage. As a matter of fact, we spend a lot of time in improving the performance of our K8-based system (with Sempron64, Athlon64, Athlon64 X2 and Opteron).
1) For V-dimm: we have seen that memory modules working outside of the specifications and at higher dimm voltage perform much better than this mainboard, when put on a high voltage mode. Therefore, we hope you make a new entry in the voltage dimm selector, i.e.: Ultra High at 2.8v. (existing in the ESATA and SLI32,I have see the same electronic devices in this motherboards).
2) Also, for Cpu v-core, we are limited in overclock because some of our cpu samples work very well at maximum voltage. A higher fixed voltage (max 1.6v) would ensure us a rock solid configuration without warranty-lose hardware tweak (the so called v-core mod).
We hope that you will be able to implement the above upgradings in the next bios releases.
Regards.
