We demand the production of 'The Birdman of CBGB' |
To: HollywoodDear Hollywood moguls,
It has recently come to our attention that a true work of creative genius has been kept from a waiting public for more than 25 years. This is an injustice on a level not seen since Watergate.
According to film critic Ken Hanke, Professor of Elitist Bastadry at Harvard University: 'The Birdman of CBGB’s that was announced in Creem magazine about 1975—complete with a photo of Roger Daltrey feeding a sparrow. According to the magazine, Daltrey played a character who was kidnapped by the Ramones and forced to feed their pet sparrow, Lou. There was, it said, a fantasy sequence that would show a naked Daltrey running along the docks of NY while longshoremen fired radioactive birdseed at him.'
We request, nay - demand! that production begin on this project immediately. No time can be lost! This will no doubt outgross Transformers II and The Dark Knight combined. Get cracking, Hollywood!Sincerely,
