Save Hush Trails

We the undersigned agree that the “Hush” B.M.X. trails in the South Canberra woods and the land surrounding should be permitted to remain.

The local riders who visit or frequent the area treat it with the utmost respect by keeping the area and it surroundings clean and free of rubbish. For the “Hush” locals, and trail riders like them all across the world, trail building is an artwork, a lifestyle, and to some even provides an income.

The land used for “Hush” is free from local flora and clearing of trees and plant life is kept to a minimum; thus creating no damage to indigenous plant life, as well as retaining a Golf Course wind break.

The “Hush” B.M.X. trails and its surroundings attract people and fellow riders from all over the world. As this is the case we have the support of not only the B.M.X. community, but also many local residents, businesses and officials who know that the trails are a great recreational area and provide a source of income to local business.

If the “Hush” trails and the woods they are situated in were cleared, local residents, businesses and B.M.X. riders from all over the world would suffer greatly at its loss.

We wholeheartedly ask you to abstain from a decision that would take this area from us.
