Save the ULL Horse Farm

To:  All Board Members of the Board of Supervisors, University of Louisiana System

We the undersigned support the acquisition of the state-owned property known as the University of Louisiana at Lafayette former Equine Center (also known as the ULL Horse Farm) by the City of Lafayette, Louisiana, at the appraised value. We support the proposal by the administration of the City of Lafayette that it be granted the privilege of right of first refusal for a period of at least twelve (12) months. This time would be used to raise funds for the purchase of these 100 acres of publicly-owned land. The ultimate use of this magnificent gem of irreplaceable natural beauty would be a natural area for the citizens of Acadiana. Public land should benefit the public.
