Manny Pacquiao on the cover of Sports Illustrated

We, the undersigned, request that you put the Pugilist, Manny Pacquiao on the cover of your magazine. Apart from being the current pound-for-pound champion of Boxing, he is a hero to his beloved country, the Philippines and is generally one of today's most inspiring sports figures.

Manny Pacquiao's record speaks volumes for the courage he shows in the ring and the confidence he has as a fighter, but perhaps his crowning achievement thus far is also his most recent; beating (up) Oscar de la Hoya to the point of submission as an underdog in their December 6, 2008 bout.

We understand that the NFL, College Football, MLB, etc are the interests of the mainstream public, but we believe that a glimpse into this talented athlete's achievements and life would be more than enough to remind people about Boxing and rekindle the passion this country once held for the sport.

After all, it's SPORTS Illustrated and not MAINSTREAM SPORTS Illustrated, right?
