Natural Grass Fields in Lower Manhattan

To:  Battery Park City Authority

We, the undersigned, are concerned that the Lower Manhattan community does not have enough active recreation space, but we believe that converting the organic grass ball fields of Battery Park City to artificial turf will not solve the problem. Until and if - the health and environmental impacts of synthetic turf are proven safe to people (especially our children) and the environment, we prefer natural grass and mud to synthetic turf.
