Brentwood Post Office

We the undersigned citizens of Brentwood, Tennessee are very grateful to be the recipients of a new city post office; however, we are opposed to the Postal Service's elected location under consideration - Northwest Corner of Concord Road and Wilson Pike. We believe this particular location does not best serve our community or the Post Service’s best interests. The residents, business community, as well as city, county, and state officials are united that this location is unacceptable for the following reasons below.

• This located is the heart of Brentwood’s residential and recreational community surrounded by many residential neighborhoods, borders on community family oriented facilities including multiple churches, recreational centers, parks, baseball and soccer fields, amphitheater, day cares and schools; therefore, inserting a large business such as a post office would seriously jeopardize this effort.
• It would introduce commercial traffic onto Concord Road and Wilson Pike which are two of the city’s main residential roads.
• This location would not benefit any businesses in the city since it would be at least one mile from the city’s business district.

Brentwood residents, businesses, and city officials have agreed that the Centerview Drive site is a more suitable location. Listed below are reasons why this location would better serve all our community needs.

• It is in the city’s most popular shopping center including Krogers which is the city’s most productive grocery store.
• It is central to daily residential chores since it is in downtown Brentwood.
• It is central to the city’s business district.
• It is easily accessible to most residential neighborhoods.
• It is located near the interstate.

The citizens and business community express their hope that the Post Office will continue to work with the city in pursuing this preferred site.
