Securom Boycott

To:  Game Designers and Publishers

To all game designers/publishers,

We strongly feel that Securom causes more grievences to paying customers than to software pirates.

When installing and using software that includes Securom paying customers must deal with virus like DRM that seriptisiously installs itself, is very difficult to remove, which occasionally gives false positives thus preventing users from using legally obtained software, and are restricted to a limited number of installs without going through a tedious and bureaucratic process.
However, Software pirates are able to simply "crack" Securom out of the process altogether.
This is not fair.

We hereby pledge to boycott all games that employ Securom as a means of digital rights management.
