Perkins Road Art District Designation

To:  Baton Rouge Metro Council

I, hereby, support the initiative for the Perkins Road Art District and agree with the following criteria:

-Renovations to historic structures within the district may be eligible for state historic tax credits.
-Sales of original, one-of-a-kind works of art are exempt from local and state sales tax.
-Possible increased occupancy in local neighborhoods.
-Promote property renovations/preservation.
-Increase community jobs.
-Beautification of the area.
