Marymount Pope Observance

Catholic schools across New York will be closed April 18 with respect to His Holiness Pope Benedict XVIÕs visit. Marymount, which is publicly acknowledged as a Catholic school, is one of few schools that will remain open on this day. Why is it that on Holy Days we are a private school with Catholic principles, but when we are recruiting new (piously catholic) students, we are a Catholic school? This petition is a plea to allow us to observe the pope on Friday.
