Support of Utah's Senator D. Chris Buttars

To:  Utah State Legislature

Senator Chris Buttars is, and always has been, a champion and advocate for the rights and protection of all people under the law regardless of their race or ethnic background.

· He was the Director of the Boys Ranch for 15 years where he helped boys of all ages and ethnic backgrounds. Kids of every color -- Black, White, Brown and Yellow -- literally owe their lives to him for his tireless efforts to help with teenage crisis, drug abuse and violence.

· He sponsored and supported legislation to protect all unborn babies.

· He was the Senate sponsor of the Constitutional amendment to defend marriage. He has always defended and supported legislation in defense of the family.

· He has been a leader in the fight against drugs. He spent 7 hard years passing DORA, the drug offenders’ rehabilitation act.

· He is a friend to law enforcement, carrying legislation on their behalf.

· He has protected our property rights by working to stop abusive eminent domain.

Senator Chris Buttars is man of integrity.

Ashley Robison (a minority individual who worked with Senator Buttars at the Boys Ranch for over ten years) was sickened by recent unfounded media attacks by the liberal left who took an innocent comment out of context about a particular offensive bill being “dark, ugly and black” meaning a sinister thing. He commented, “There isn’t a racist bone in Chris’ body”

Please support us in supporting a good man who is being attacked by liberal groups for being a standup guy and defending the values of Utah.
