We, the undersigned, do hereby request that THE MARVELETTES, be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2007. We the undersigned also are terribly disappointed in the past announcements over the years, that THE MARVELETTES have not been voted in before now!

Many of us, have been writing letters to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation, to get THE MARVELETTES considered for a nomination and would still like them to be considered for 2007.we feel that their contributions to the the Motown Sound and the world of music as well the sounds of the 1960's are far too great to have been overlooked this long by the foundation.

The Marvelettes not only defined the Motown Sound, but were the very first female vocal group to hit the charts with the recording "PLEASE MR. POSTMAN" on the Tama Records Label becoming Motown Records very first million seller by a female vocal group before such other female vocal groups as Diana Ross & The Supremes and Martha & the Vandellas.

They not only defined the sound of the 1960's, as the era of the female vocal group but also became international known as the group that started Motown Records.

Many of The Marvelettes songs have been voted amongst the top best ever by several sources. And they are still an important part of the early days of the rock 'n' roll era, having recently been inducted into The Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2004.

The Marvelettes deserve to be nominated, to be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame and we the undersigned would like to see this happen in the near future if not considered by the induction committee in 2006.
