We request that as reporters of news, you refrain from incorrectly reporting of new box office records. When adjusted for inflation, your reporting does not represent any great success of a movie. Obviously movies today make more money than the 1940s where you could see a movie for 14 cents. Back then it would take a lot longer than a weekend to reach $45 million than it would today. When adjusted for inflation, "Gone With The Wind" is still number 1 at the box office. We would appreciate you, as our sources for news, to accurately give us the standings of new releases by adjusting for inflation instead of manipulating the facts to promote new movies.
