Kill the Smelt, Save the Farms

To:  US Congress

In response to the tragic situation in the Huron California region of the United States, I'm demanding that the Congress stop trying to protect the "Delta Smelt fish" over the population of not only the State of California but of all America. In times like these, high unemployment, an unstable economy and rising costs of groceries, sacrifices must be made and when it comes down to it, humans are more valuable than the smelt in question. It is time to stop the arrogance that some of the members of our congress have adopted and start listening to the citizens who put you in office. It is your choice, either the fish goes or you will go in the next series of elections. Turn the water back on to the California valley.
