The main purpose of this petition is to bring to the attention of M. Night Shyamalan and the involved production companies our desire to see the cabbage merchant from the series "Avatar: The Last Airbender", ie Cabbage Man, in the upcoming movie trilogy "The Last Airbender".
Amidst the controversy over the casting choices made for the lead characters, which this petition is NOT addressing, there has also been a lot of concern expressed about the direction the films could be taking. With the inclusion of such characters as the Cabbage Man, we hope to be assured of the movie's use of the humor and running gags that made the cartoon series so entertaining.

The petition's secondary (and optional) purpose is to show support for Victor Sgroi's submission to the production to be cast as Cabbage Man. Having long enjoyed the series, he is eager to be a part of the live action adaptation. He has a background in video production and performance, and would be taking the role seriously as an actor, not just as a fan. Though as a fan, he has already been attending conventions in a Cabbage Man cosplay, to overwhelmingly positive reception. Thoughts on Mr. Sgroi's casting aside, we hope this petition serves to show the desire of the fans for the lighthearted side of the characters and situations that have made "Avatar: The Last Airbender" so memorable, specifically for the depiction of the Cabbage Man on the big screen.
