Save Cambridge's Public Limes

To:  Cambridge City Council

This petition supports the preservation of Cambridge's public trees, and in particular condemns the recent actions of Cambridge City Council in destroying lime trees alongside Parker's Piece, for replacement by ornamental imports. This petition also seeks to preserve the lime tree now threatened by the Council which lies at the corner of Midsummer Common - a strong, healthy, attractive tree which gives great pleasure to many.
