Parliamentary Cooperation |
To: House of Commons, Ottawa ONBecause of the historically low voter turnout of the 2008 federal election tends to show Canadians did not want the election, and
Because all of the 4 parties that had MP's elected actually lost votes since the election in 2006, and
Because Canadians did not trust any one party enough to give them a mandate to form a majority government,
We, the undersigned, ask that the Members of Parliament from the four elected parties and the 2 independent Members refrain from the usual petty bickering and put aside partisan politics and legitimately try to work together to find common ground and the necessary comprimises for the good of our country and its citizens.
We also want this to serve as a reminder to the Prime Minister and his party that they were re-elected as a minority government and we expect them to act in a cooperative and concilliatory way with the other parties and members of Parliament.Sincerely,
