Chris Cornell on American Idol |
To: Fox/American Idol and Chris CornellWe, the undersigned, respectfully request Fox’s American Idol feature Chris Cornell.
With all of the publicity surrounding the performance of Chris Cornell’s take on Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean” by contestant David Cook, it seems fitting that Mr. Cornell be approached to perform his arrangement, especially with the controversy of the vague attribution of Mr. Cook’s performance. Considering that American Idol has a long history of featuring well-known performers as either celebrity judges or coaches, we believe an invitation to Mr. Cornell should be extended. With a twenty year career in the music industry and thirteen studio albums already under his belt, Mr. Cornell’s experience and stage presence could offer valuable insight to the American Idol contestants. With his formidable accolades, we believe he should join the likes of Gene Simmons, Live, Meat Loaf, Prince, Gwen Stefani, Stevie Wonder, and others as a guest upon the program.Sincerely,
