Quebec sovereignists deliberately changed moving day from May 1st to July 1st in 1974 to discourage participation in Canada Day here in Quebec, which was introduced by a federalist MNA, Jérôme Choquette of the Quebec Liberal Party. Now its time to take back our national holiday.

We, the undersigned, wish to express our concern and demand that Moving day be changed from July 1st back to May 1st. In order to give residents of Quebec the day off from moving. Thus allowing for celebration of our national holiday, and for the preservation of our heritage and national identity.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned
