Attention Hartford Residents!!!

Since 1984 The Ebony Horsewomen (located on 337 Vine Street in Hartford, CT) have served the youth of Greater Hartford through the use of horses (www.ebonyhorsewomen.us). The curriculum, consisting of English and Western riding instruction, computer science, life skills, veterinary science, environmental science and leadership courses, among others, have opened up a world of possibilities for our youth. Ebony Horsewomen now need your support to continue opening doors for our youth and community-at-large.

In 2003, Ebony Horsewomen began a journey to garner support for an exciting proposal "The Connecticut Equestrian & Exhibition, aka Connecticut Horse Park". The proposal which is set for Keney Park in Hartford, CT has immense economic and community benefits. The Project proposes to bring new jobs, business growth, educational and recreation benefits for Greater Hartford-specifically Hartford's North End and the State of Connecticut. As part of the proposal, Ebony Horsewomen will operate on the grounds of the proposed Connecticut Equestrian & Exhibition Center. The current curriculum will be expanded to include job training for specialized careers such as blacksmithing, veterinary disciplines as well as a host of college preparatory programs.
