Pass A Living Wage for School District Employees

We, the undersigned, believe strongly that a job should keep you out of poverty, not in it. We support the expansion and strict enforcement of living wage standards. Living wages are good for workers, good for employers, and good for our neighborhoods. They are a counter to the devastating poverty we face in the City of Buffalo.

We call upon the Buffalo Board of Education to pass a living wage policy for School District employees and those employed on School District contracts that mirrors the Ordinance unanimously adopted in the City of Buffalo in 1999 and reaffirmed in 2003.
