Implemet Fully "A Vision for Change"

Dear Minister Harney,

We are asking you to ensure that the Government does not abandon the recommandations included in the Report "A Vision For Change".

We are especially concerned that for the year 2008, no additional funding has been allocated to mental health. This inspite of the fact that the report calls for €25 million each year for six years to allow implementation of the mental health service expansion and improvement objectives outlined in the policy. In 2006 only €17 million and in 2007 only €10 million was made availible for this purpose.

Minister please ensure that this policy is fully implemented.
