“...to restore order and peace within the confines of myYearbook by returning the site to its original, much more user friendly interface...”

1.NOTIFICATION SYSTEM -
Some, if not all, of us believe the notification system is more of a hassle than the original method of alerts through ones message box.
At the very least this system should be optional and strictly up to the account holder if they so choose to use it.

2.OPTION TO MARK MESSAGES AND OTHER VARIOUS FORMS OF COMMUNICATION AS SPAM -
The majority of the site is growing impatient with losing accounts for a few hours and sometimes indefinitely simply because someone got a bug up their ass. If battles are an integrated part of the site it should be perfectly fine for them to be sent to site users.
Any true spam from outside companies or individuals attempting to compromise an account can simply be deleted. Same too could be said for those who receive battles but do not wish to vote on them.

3.BATTLE VOTE REQUESTS -
While these are great for getting the word out quickly they've already lost their punch. They're overused and far too cheap. Most of the site has their notifications turned off for vote requests anyhow so they're not being received.

4.THE USE OF SOFTWARE AND PLUG-INS -
Mass senders, iMacros scripts, friend adders, etc. These are all an inevitable part of life on myYearbook.com whether you the site operators choose to accept it or not. You can continue to attempt to fight back with the users and delete accounts or you can get in on the action.
I'm proposing a solution to this problem. Allow EVERY member to download a program that you design that will fit the needs of ALL automated acts on the site. This program will add friends, send messages, reply to gold stars, gifts, etc. Users will either opt in and download this software or opt out. Those who opt out will remain a separate entity on the site. Those who opt in will receive messages, etc. from those who also opted in. No more choosing to receive messages from only friends. This will be the price we pay for using the software. This will also cut down on the friction between those who battle and those who don't.
Also in an attempt to cut down on such activity you've deleted several accounts. The only thing this is doing is causing those who hold the knowledge and know how to actually hack into other profiles in an attempt to gain attention and try to get their profiles back. There should be far fewer reasons accounts are deleted or this site could face a very grim future.
