Stop the obscene UK bank charges |
To: Houses of ParliamentWe, the undersigned, are amazed and appalled that UK banks are entitled to charge the amount that they do on unpaid items, entering unauthorised overdrafts, returned cheques, etc.
We ask the Houses of Parliament to look into, and to change, the current laws. It is our belief that banks are allowed to charge a "reasonable amount" for such occurences as listed above. We do not deem anywhere upwards of £25 "reasonable", especially when there is often no human intervention required by the banks to return such items.
Although there are methods to obtain a refund on previous charges, this is not easy and can often result in your bank closing the account. We urge you to not allow the banks to make such charges in the first place.Sincerely,
