My daughter was born with a Congenital Heart Defect. She needed intervention for her heart. She has Pulmonary Stenosis and Atrial Septal Defect. Her condition doesn't require many hospital stays or surgeries but for other children they have to go through many stays and surgeries. In the U.S nearly twice as many children die each year from congenital heart defects than all forms of childhood cancers combined, yet, funding for pediatric cancer research is 5 times higher than for congenital heart defects. Why is this? Please sign the petition to invest in Congenital Heart Defect Research to find the root causes of congenital heart defects, and to improve the care and treatment of children born with these defects to enable them to lead healthy and meaningful lives. With the pushing of medical research cures can be found. Thank you for listening!
