Mini Cheddars do not, in fact, have the 'same great taste'

McVitie's classic British snack, Mini Cheddars, like a great many of their contemporary savoury treats, have recently undergone a health-fad redesign. The result is that they're lower in sodium, have no MSG and 30% less saturated fat. The packaging proudly claims that they possess the "same great taste."

This is a falsehood. If you will, nothing but a lie.

The new Mini Cheddars are significantly less cheesy and less gorgeously gooey -in fact, they're in danger of being little more than salted biscuits. There hasn't been a darker day for MC fans since the tragic cancellation of the delicious Marmite flavour Cheddars.

This petition will doubtless fall on deaf ears - maintaining the high taste-gasm standards of yesteryear is clearly less important than avoiding a lawsuit from some irate mum whose kid is in hospital from a deadly case of Saturatedfatitus. But our disatissfaction at the brutal castration of this proud British savoury snack tradition must nevertheless be registered.
