To the Board of Directors at ABC,

We the undersigned are asking for the television program currently under production at your studio, Commander In Chief, be renewed for a second season, in efforts to give fans a chance to get to know the characters of the show, and delve into the plot lines. A shows performance in the middle of a season is not an accurate measure of its popularity, and if it is American Idol or House which the show is supposedly having a hard time competing with for ratings, perhaps you will consider moving time slots, before the discussion of hiatus or cancellation. We see the potential that this show yields, and with the departure of NBCs The West Wing, and there is a lot of opportunity for you to pick up fans, perhaps even move Commander In Chief into that time slot, next season.

In addition, we agree that the hiring of Stephen Bochco as producer of the show was a mistake and that the program has been taken in the direction of a bad-cop show; President's have to make mistakes or they stop seemingly realistic. The original episodes of the show were far more interesting and attention grabbing than any of the ones produced and aired currently. We ask that Rob Lurie be reconsidered for his original position or that a new producer be hired to fill his shoes, to put the show back on track; we feel this is part of the reason for the drop in ratings.

It is asked once again that the show be reconsidered for a second season and that a new producer be hired to replace Stephen Bochco, and in addition a DVD of Season 1 would be excellent to consider, as with 10 million viewers and counting a large market is available to tap into.
