Designate the Kimlin Cider Mill a Historical Landmark in the Town of Poughkeepsie

We, the undersigned residents of the Town of Poughkeepsie, and Dutchess County at large, call upon the Town Board to:

Designate the Kimlin Cider Mill, listed on the State & National Registers of Historic Places, a Town of Poughkeepsie Landmark Site. The Mill, located on Cedar Avenue, Grid Numbers 6160-02-724779, -727764, -714761 & -714758, is a distinctive 19th century local commercial & social landmark. It is one of the few remaining physical links to the Town's early history as a rural apple growing & dairying community along the river and was a favorite destination for Vassar College students & community residents well into the 20th century.
