We, the undersigned, believe that the TV show "The Crystal Maze" should be resurrected, and remade with Russell Brand as the presenter.







The original Crystal Maze on Channel 4 with Richard O'Brien (and, later, Ed Tudor Pole) was arguably one of the best things ever to grace our TV screens. Although you can still find it on Challenge TV these days, it looks dated and old, and is crying out to be revamped for the 21st century.







We understand that the show would require a huge budget to reproduce, because of the studio space and set requirements. However, this could easily be offset if members of the public could 'apply' to star on the Crystal Maze by premium text or phone call at, say, 50p per application, with teams of 6 selected at random each week. If Big Brother can survive for 641 series using this model, so can the Crystal Maze (just no evictions, voting, skating, dancing or singing, please).







Russell Brand is the most obvious successor to Richard O'Brien and Ed Tudor Pole. Picture, if you will, Brand swaggering around the Medieval Zone, regaling us with tales of his nocturnal liaisons with Mumsy as another bunch of clueless swines yells 'get the crystal' ad infinitum. TV gold, without a doubt.







So please, give the Crystal Maze back to the people. We dearly miss it.
