Save Cookie Monster

To:  The Sesame Workshop and "Sesame Street" producers

We, the undersigned, want Cookie Monster to continue chomping large amounts of cookies. We strongly feel Cookie Monster is an asset to the show, but only as the cookie-devouring machine his creator, Jim Henson, intended him to be: Not as the vegetable lover your new "healthy eating" focus forces him to be.

Your fears that binge cookie eating will be emulated by children are unwarranted. Children are aware Cookie Monster is merely entertainment.

Please allow Cookie Monster to continue bringing joy into children's lives, just as he has during the past 30 years. Stop punishing Cookie Monster. Give him back his cookie jar.
